EDF power solutions UK and Ireland has submitted an application to the Scottish Borders Council to erect two temporary 120.4m high meteorological masts (met masts) with equipment on land located in the Lammermuir Hills. The towers, which will be situated on moorland approximately one kilometre east of the existing Fallago Rig wind farm, will collect detailed wind data over time for the Dunside wind farm project. The application for Dunside wind farm is currently being considered by the Scottish Government’s Energy Consent Unit.
